Proud to support Grow Ahead and their Women-led Reforestation in Peru

Forests help to remove our carbon footprints@

Based in the foothills of the Peruvian Amazon where the Andes mountains meet the rainforest, a cooperative of 691 farmers and families are growing coffee and cacao and working to combat climate change. Through farmer-driven reforestation programs (CAC Pangoa), farmers are restoring water and nutrients to their soil, increasing production of coffee and food and pulling carbon out of the atmosphere.

Grow Ahead has teamed up with CAC Pangoa to support a women-run reforestation project in the Peruvian Amazon. The Pangoa Women’s Committee has a long history of supporting the women producers in the cooperative and this project strives to provide economic opportunities for women and protect lands from the effects of climate change.

Thumbprint Artifacts is proud to be donating to Grow Ahead every month in an effort to cover our carbon footprint, and help these women producers to support their families and their communities.
