Hooray! Thumbprint Artifacts celebrated a record year in 2019!
This translated into 15 additional artisans employed and trained at Kapula. Imagine that those 15 new artisans can now not only support themselves and their families, but also their extended families. So suddenly the impact goes from 15 people to 75! Making a difference feels good – no?!
In order to continue the growth, we want to continue to offer new ideas and new products made by the artisans at Kapula Candles & Ceramics.
Let us introduce the new ‘Pink on Pink’ candle collection! In hews of pink, this candle collection in tapers and votive candles will also give support to Pink Drive, South Africa’s first mobile cancer prevention charity. The unit goes into communities that do not have any health care to offer. Their focus is on education and prevention. 5% of revenues from the sales of this design will be donated to this worthy NGO. Therefore your purchase of the Pink on Pink candles makes a difference in multiple ways!
In addition, we’ve brought on line a new contemporary hand made ceramic design – Batik. The blue & white is fun and clean, yet still a touch of Africa! The mug, square service dish, small bowl & spoon, and spoon rest all come in this new design. And remember these pieces of Batik are all microwave & dishwasher safe.
